JMemcache drivers are now in the 1.5 core

With the addition of the memcache JCache and JSession drivers into the 1.5 core, the JMemcache project will no longer need to maintain separate driver files.

However the project will remain, in order to provide a place for customization of the drivers for unusually high-traffic sites, or sites that have unusual requirements.

This project is for sites that are built on the 1.5 framework, where speed and scale is absolutely critical.

Memcache is a fantastic in-memory cache that gives you maximum performance for storing, well, just about anything.

This plugin will enable developers to take advantage of the benefits of memcache with their applications.

Description
The memcache project will provide a
unified place for additional
customization of the plugin (and core
hacks) to manage high-traffic sites
that leverage memcache for performance
and scaling benefits. As the drivers
have already made their way into the
core, this project area will remain for
hacks and tweaks that don't belong in
the core distribution.

This project is not affiliated in any
way with the original memcache project
(found here:
http://www.danga.com/memcached/).
